Inspired by the expansive landscapes and changing skies of North Yorkshire, this piece explores the meeting place between water, land and light.
The distant shoreline and shimmering reflections create a sense of quiet contemplation, while the dramatic sky hints at the ever-changing moods of the natural world.
Through soft pastel, I sought to capture not only the scene itself, but the feeling of standing at the water's edge, watching the landscape unfold in silence.
It is a moment of stillness, space and reflection, where the water seems to hold the sky within it.
This piece is unframed.
