Inspired by childhood camping holidays at Wells-next-the-Sea, this painting captures the excitement of following sandy paths through the dunes towards the coast beyond.

The vast Norfolk sky dominates the landscape, with shifting clouds and changing light creating a sense of movement and possibility. The winding path draws the eye towards the distant horizon, recalling those treasured moments when the sea was just out of sight but close enough to be felt in the salty breeze.

For me, this piece is about memory, freedom, and the simple joy of exploring nature as a child. It celebrates the unique beauty of the Norfolk coast and the lasting connection we carry to the places that shaped us.

This piece comes unframed.
