Inspired by the peaceful waterways of Norfolk, this piece captures a quiet channel winding through golden reed beds beneath a vast, ever-changing sky.
The narrow ribbon of water invites the viewer into the landscape, drawing the eye towards the distant horizon where land and sky gently meet. The warm tones of the reeds contrast with the soft reflections on the water, creating a sense of calm, space and stillness.
Through soft pastel, I sought to capture not only the beauty of the Norfolk landscape, but the quiet atmosphere of the Broads, where nature moves at its own gentle pace and the reeds seem to whisper in the breeze.

Please be extremely careful in handling. This is soft pastel and has not been treated with fixative spray etc as it dulls colours. It is advised to give to the framer as it is as they will know how to handle it correctly.
