Inspired by the ever-changing landscapes of North Yorkshire, this piece captures a fleeting moment when sunlight breaks across the fields beneath a dramatic sky.
The contrast between the dark, approaching clouds and the glowing patchwork of farmland reflects the beauty and unpredictability of the Yorkshire countryside. It is a landscape caught between weather and light, shadow and warmth.
Through soft pastel, I sought to capture not only the colours of the land, but the atmosphere of a moment that may last only minutes before the sky changes once again.
This piece comes unframed.
