Inspired by the rolling landscapes of North Yorkshire, this piece captures the warmth and colour of a countryside day when sunlight transforms the fields and distant hills.
The winding path leads the eye through the landscape, inviting the viewer to imagine the journey beyond the horizon. The contrasting greens of the valley and the rich purple tones of the hills reflect the beauty and diversity of the Yorkshire countryside.
Through soft pastel, I sought to capture not only the landscape itself, but the sense of freedom, possibility and connection that comes from walking through open country beneath a vast northern sky.

Please be extremely careful in handling. This is soft pastel and has not been treated with fixative spray etc as it dulls colours. It is advised to give to the framer as it is as they will know how to handle it correctly.
