Inspired by the expansive landscapes of Norfolk, this piece captures the final glow of daylight spreading across fields, waterways and distant horizons.

The golden tones of the marshland are balanced by the cool reflections in the water, while the dark silhouette of trees frames the fading light beyond. 

The open composition reflects the unique character of Norfolk, where vast skies and wide landscapes create a profound sense of space and tranquillity.

Through soft pastel, I sought to capture not only the colours of the landscape, but the peaceful atmosphere of an evening when the day slowly gives way to night.
