January 2012 More hand sculptures are partially made - Holding On and Catch should be in a fit state to photograph by the end of the month.
January 2012 I welcomed the new year in with a new piece of work:faith and other fantasies. It proved a bit of a nightmare to photograph though so for now here is a black & white version.

December 2011 I have started making new pieces for the May show. Why I decided to make something involving 10,000 wire mesh leaves though is a mystery right now! Can't I have small visions once in a while, please?
November 2011 Inspired by a return from a much needed holiday, I have created 20 cards with images I have taken over the years and empowered them with words to work by. See my new page
July 2011 Two new works: Tracks of My Tears and Trust were submitted for the Portsmouth and Hampshire Art Society Show www.portshantsart.org.uk/
July 29th - Aug 12th at Portsmouth Cathedral, Old Portsmouth. (PO1 2HA)

Meanwhile, desire is on hold until I have body cast a lot of hands that will support her so I am working on a male clay head that will start a new ceramic series of elementals : fire, earth, air and water.
Dec 2010 Started carving what was once part of a slate fireplace. I have carved five seagull swoops into it which I shall gild ready for the outside world. This is how it looks right now though:
Oct 2010 I hope to pick up my first ceramic piece this month. It is called "Tracks of my Tears". Much to my surprise, I thoroughly enjoyed working in clay and plan to work more in this cold, slippery, mud type material
.
Sept 2010 "Mi Pod" returned from a successful stay on the Island. They are now having a well earned rest.
June - Sept 2010 "Mi Pod" at Quay Arts, Newport, Isle of Wight
February 2010 "Quicksilver" is completed. See him in the gallery page. My first foray into the world of Jesmonite (a sort of plaster and resin mix that can go outside). It won't be my last I am gald to say. I have now started work on a female torso so watch this space.....
